Howdy peeps! I've got the day off today (ahhhhh, sweet fragile sanity) and I've gotten a few things done around the house (go me) so now I'm relaxifyin' and postin'. And here she is, Kenya Kitty, chock full o'bebehs. You can click that photo a few times to get the full 1024-pixel-wide size if you like.
So here's what I'm thinking: I've been talking with few folks in the comments here, and I'd like to organize this idea we have of a Kitten Pool. Basically, you peeps get to place your bets on how many kittens Kenya will have, and when they'll show up. People are putting their money where their mouths are, too. There may be multiple winners, but the point is really to benefit MVHS, the organization I'm volunteering with to do the fostering, here in Minnesota. Anyway, I will announce the winner(s) -- or at least whomever gets the closest -- when the kittens arrive. Everybody should simply donate directly to MVHS when this is done; it makes no sense for me to be collecting mailed-in checks or PayPal funds, and anyway it's tax-deductible and they'll send you a thank-you invoice dealie.
But, BUT, the winner will get to request a post here on my Vox, for me to compose. This can include video, photochopping, falsetto singing, power tools, etc. & whatever. I will use my powers as an international internets celebrity (ha!) to the fullest extent of my talents. I do ask, however, that you confine your requests to the bounds of propriety. Common sense, y'know... don't ask me to do things I'd have to refuse. I'm married with kids, I have a real-life job unrelated to teh blogosphere, I've never been arrested... you get the picture.
I will say this, though: If you, the winner, come up with an idea good enough for Cute Overload itself, and I can pull it off, then THAT'S where I'll post it. I kinda have an "in." ;) So think carefully, because in that case it'd have to be material that Meggie Moo would be OK with too, and girl's got some standards. She's, like, profeshunal.
My own official guess is five kittens on April 5th [EDIT -- at 5:05 AM] and I'll put $20 on it (win or lose). Some folks have already made guesses, but if you'd please humor me and re-post them in comments beneath this post, with 1) kitten count, 2) arrival date, and 3) amount of cash you're slappin' down for MVHS, to back it up. To reiterate: THIS POST WILL BE THE MAIN AREA FOR ALL THAT RELATES TO THE KITTEN POOL. I'll update the text here if need be, to answer questions I didn't think of.

Seriously. "It's can be 'nip tiem right NOW, monkeytrucker!" Whew. But it's got her using the cardboard scratcher thing, for routine claw-sharpening, instead of the chair.

New arrival at the CatCave! And she's DEFINITELY pregnant, this time... visibly rounded, and a bit grumbly & sore about it (understandably). But she got comfortable right away; right now she's hanging out with SchmoopTeen2 playing Sims. Pretty much your average weekend.
