Meanwhile, in US politics...
...Newt Gingrich is still returded. Apparently, America should only be for his sort of Americans.
[from CNN.com]
WASHINGTON (AP) -- Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich equated bilingual education Saturday with "the language of living in a ghetto" and mocked requirements that ballots be printed in multiple languages.
"The government should quit mandating that various documents be printed in any one of 700 languages depending on who randomly shows up" to vote, said Gingrich, who is considering seeking the Republican presidential nomination in 2008. He made the comments in a speech to the National Federation of Republican Women...
Fortunately, there's other things to think about, once you're done with this blarney.

Ok, Nert. QUIT considering running in the election of 2008. Just don't even bother.
What a maroon.
It has GOT to change.
To modify one of my favorite speeches from "The American President":
[Gingrich's] problem isn't that he doesn't get it. [Gingrich's] problem is that he can't sell it! We have serious problems to solve, and we need serious people to solve them. And whatever your particular problem is, I promise you, [Newt Gingrich] is not the least bit interested in solving it. He is interested in two things and two things only: making you afraid of it and telling you who's to blame for it. That, ladies and gentlemen, is how you win elections. You gather a group of middle-aged, middle-class, middle-income voters who remember with longing an easier time, and you talk to them about family and American values and character. [And complain about what language people speak] and you scream about patriotism and you tell them, [they're] to blame for their lot in life, and you go on television and you call [them names].
