Mama Bou's temp has come down a degree or so, and she's starting to pay more attention to these strange new cling-ons. The tiny frail white baby... well, it's still touch-and-go with him. Frankly he's not great. The others, though, and it's funny, but they act just like kittens.
Gosh I hope even the littlest guy pulls thru, I know how heart wrenching if he doesn't. Glad everyone else is doing better. OMG they all look so floofy already.
OH OH OH OH! I'm so excited, fambly pixtures! Many SQUEES here. And a truly mermelade kitten, uh oh....Watch out Rikki & Mr Bounce.
I'm glad Mama Bou is doiong better; prayers continue for her to keep improving in health and in Mommietude. I hope Teensiest Great White Hope can stick around too. Tiniest of soft leetle snorgle to him and to everybody and some tuna and an "Atta Girl" to Miss Bou.
Just checked out the "over here". Jaye, you tewtally rock sharing the rackage & Mcfluffersons with teh world.
Went reading through comments, and I wasn't right about six, but oh well, and: Yikes! Really, really hope everyone pulls through now, especially the little white guy.
Do you think the lack of mothering is because she's so sick? Or maybe did she just never have her own mama to teach her how to be a mamakitty? Did the babies come too early? Is this why they're weak? Or just because she was sick. I am full of questions. I'm very worried about the little bits. At least they are with someone who will take care of them. If they were out in the wild somewhere, no one would have made it by now.

She's improving now, Saaski, and starting to pick up on the whole mothering thing; she was actually bathing them last night before we went to bed. But I think that was true.
The kittens couldn't have been very early; Bou was enormous. And they're mostly doing OK now.
This is all VERY good. Eye squeezes mean 'I love you' in cat language, everybody knows that. Bou is resting from her delivery, her infection has responded nicely. The kittens are nursing well and she appears to have enough milk for them all. And I even found out why there are no fertile calico males. I just have to find a use for the knowledge. Well, it can rattle around in there along with the rest of the trivia like cigarette jingles that won't go away. In the meantime, the CatCavians can catch their collective breath. Congratulations on getting through the last few days; it wasn't easy on anyone. You people are heroes.

Glad to hear Bou's feeling a bit better, and being a bit more mom-like.
Are they sending them home soon?
(Also, I was right! Six kittens! Wee!)
Hoping momcat Bou and the kitlings will be okay!
